Role Profile
At Coats Digital, we build SaaS and Desktop applications under continuous delivery. Our customers work in the fashion industry (Brands and Manufacturers), and we help them in several fields like planning, costing, scientific calculations and optimising their operations.
As a Delphi Software Developer, you will be part of a team that builds and maintains our planning application.
Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities
- Build windows native applications using Delphi technologies
- Participate in project planning, software design, and DevOps build activities.
- Convert discussed stories into appropriate designs, code, and unit tests.
- Build and maintain DevOps processes that produce all stages of the system.
- Maintain the relevant documentation systems.
- Report progress, challenges, and risks at regular intervals.
- Become a reliable and effective member of the team.

Education, Qualifications and Experience
(Including skills and competencies required to perform the role competently)
Essential
- Be recognised as a Delphi developer with exposure to Windows subsystems, SQL databases and GIT.
- Have some formal technology training or prior commercial experience
- Demonstrable database skills.
- An understanding of OO and design patterns.
- Be analytical and have excellent problem-solving skills
- Open to learning modern technology/languages and taking advantage of our training budgets.
- Understand modern design patterns and practices.
- Working experience of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
- Willing to be part of a team
Desirable
- Microsoft DevOps (dev.azure.com) skills.
- Fashion industry experience.
- Manufacturing experience.
